A Young Lady's Day Book

Outside my window~ It is a gray-ish color. The sun is out, and I'm pretty sure it's hot out.
I am listening to~ A Thousand Years by Christina Perri, and my little brother asking for a cookie.
I am wearing~ Green athletic shorts and a Tinkerbell T-shirt. My hair is up in a ponytail, and I have no shoes or socks on.
I am grateful for~
*Friends
*Little sisters
*Music

I am thinking about
My soccer tournament. It's tonight. We haven't won a game this season, so I am very nervous. I also heard we are going to be playing against one of the best teams. Wish us luck!
I really need to find the patron saint of athletics.

I am reading~ The Serpent's Shadow by Rick Riordan. Actually, I finished it a couple hours ago. It was absolutely brilliant! (as usual)
I am creating~ My book for Camp NaNoWriMo. It is coming along very nicely.
Around the house~ Nothing much going on here. We are all ready for Summer.
One of my favorite things~ Watching Say Yes To The Dress with my sister, MJ. We always laugh at how ridiculous some of the brides are on there.
A few plans for the rest of the week~ Soccer games, ballet, END OF SCHOOL!
Picture thoughts:
Isn't that the greatest picture?!

The Power Of Music

Music is one of the most powerful things in the world. It is a universal language. And, I feel lucky. I am connected to music in a way that I don't think most people are. I get goosebumps whenever I hear a powerful song, and I feel so inspired. I sometimes don't like it, but other times it leads me to a wonderful idea.

"I was born with music inside me. Music was one of my parts. Like my ribs, my kidneys, my liver, my heart. Like my blood. It was a force already within me when I arrived on the scene. It was a necessity for me-like food or water." - Ray Charles.

Music fuels my dreams. It brings me happiness, but it also sometimes brings me sadness. Music is something the world cannot live without.

The things we say...

At my house there are always crazy conversations:

Catherine and Amelia were sitting at the table for breakfast:
Amelia: "Caferine, what did the dog say to the shark?
Catherine who is in her own little world doesn't answer her sister.
Amelia: "CAFERINE! What did the dog say to the shark??"
Catherine: (snaps out of it) "I don't know, what did the dog say to the shark?"
Amelia: "Nothing!"  and she busts out laughing. And so do I. Another Amelia joke.

Patrick and I chatting:
"But, Patrick, you have to learn math! How will you support your family?!"-me
"I am not going to marry,"- Patrick.
"Then what are you going to do??"
"I am going to work at Walmart, and live on a big farm with lots of animals."

Me, on how I am going to be president one day:
"And world peace will be easy for me!"-me
"How?"-Mom
"I'll just make everyone love me. I'll send them gift baskets with little cheeses and sausages."

The Weekend Craziness

Well today I...
Whew... 8 long hours of changing diapers, feeding kids, and cleaning up after them. I appreciate my mom a WHOLE lot more now! I had my first real babysitting job today. It went great! I babysat with my friend Maggie. We babysat from 11:30-7:30, and we got payed 12 bucks an hour.
Pretty good.
We babysat 5 kids. The oldest was 6 and the youngest was 18 months.

And yesterday was my last soccer game :( We lost, of course, but we played awesome! The tournament is on Monday at 8:30 in the night! Ridiculous, I know. Also yesterday, was field day. The 7th graders ran it.  I had a blast!
My friends and I ran a relay race station. We were out in the sun from 8:00 Am to 2:45 PM. I am so sunburned right now!
Oh, and Finals are over. I finished 7th grade with almost all A's and a couple B's. I am so less stressed right now. Now I can relax and wait for Summer. Yippee!!

Wish me luck on my soccer tournaments!!

Ah, the world of blogging...

Blogger is very new to me, so bare with me as I explore it. I usually use Typepad, but I got bored. Hopefully, this blog will be filled with delightful and witty things that will make you laugh... But, probably not.
And, you might be wondering about the name... Well, I feel the name suits me. I feel like a blue bird amongst cardinals a lot.
